Alaska is raising its minimum wage and establishing a paid sick leave law, under a ballot measure that voters approved Nov. 5.
Ballot Measure 1 was approved with about 56.5% of the vote, according to unofficial election results.
Minimum Wage
The hourly minimum wage in Alaska will rise to $13 effective July 1, 2025, $14 effective July 1, 2026, and $15 effective July 1, 2027, under the ballot measure. Starting in 2028, the minimum wage will be annually adjusted for inflation and effective Jan. 1 of each year.
