How Do EMFs
Impact Our Health?

Electromagnetic fields (EMF) are everywhere—from WiFi
networks and cell towers to the Bluetooth devices we use daily

Why Science Matters

Scientific research has explored this question for decades, and while the long-term health effects are not fully understood yet, the evidence increasingly shows significant adverse biological effects.

Let’s break down what science says.

Infographic showing 3 different levels of exposure: Yellow for low exposure containing cordless phones, baby monitors, LED-connected bulbs, and home appliances. Orange for medium exposure containing smart TVs, electric cars, gaming consoles, and smart assistants. Red for high exposure showing smartphones & laptops, bluetooth earbuds & smartwatches, microwaves, 5G towers & cell towers, airplanes, and Wi-Fi routers.

What are EMFs?

When people think of EMF exposure, they usually think of cell phones. But in today's world, we're surrounded by many sources:

  • Cell phones, laptops, and tablets that we hold close to our bodies
  • Smartwatches and fitness trackers worn directly on our skin
  • Wi-Fi routers that broadcast signals throughout our homes
  • Smart speakers, TVs, and other connected home devices
  • Cars, particularly electric vehicles and those with embedded Wi-Fi

Debunking The Myth

EMFs come in two main types:

Ionizing radiation

(such as X-rays) which have enough energy to dislodge electrons and directly damage DNA.

Non-ionizing radiation

(such as EMFs) which do not have enough energy to directly dislodge electrons.

Both ionizing and non-ionizing radiation can impact the body through different mechanisms, and both can lead to significant DNA damage and associated health risks.
The big misunderstanding:

Many people believe non-ionizing radiation is completely harmless. New research shows it can affect our bodies through mechanisms like oxidative stress, especially with long-term exposure.

What Does
Science Say?

When non-ionizing radiation from wireless devices reaches our tissues, it can disrupt normal cell processes and create free radicals.

These unstable molecules cause oxidative stress, which can damage DNA and potentially lead to serious health issues over time.

Over 2,200 peer-reviewed scientific studies conducted between 1990 and 2025 have found several health concerns linked to EMF exposure:

  • Higher risk of certain cancers, including:
    • - Brain cancer (Glioma), especially with frequent cell phone use
    • - Breast cancer in patterns related to where devices are carried
  • Neurological problems affecting memory and thinking
  • Fertility issues, particularly affecting sperm quality and count
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Frequent headaches and migraines
