Most people like the cape to hit just below the knees. If that's what you'd like, work backwards from your height and the length of the cape. For example, I'm 70'' tall and the distance from my shoulders to the floor is 62". So a size US40, which is 45" long, will hit me 15" off the ground or just below my knees. I also wear a size US40 so you can also just use your U.S. suit size or Austrian size if you have it handy.

Yes, the fabric is rain resistant!
For normal cleaning, just use a soft brush, like a horse hair brush if you have one, or any apparel brush. But for oily stains take it to a dry cleaner.
Most people like the cape to hit just below the knees, but it's personal preference, just work backwards from your height. If your 190cm, a 125cm cape should hit you just below the knees, if that's your preference.
The cape comes with a hood, which is shown in the pictures, and the color matches the cape, it's olive green.

Yes the cape is rain resistant and can generally be cleaned with a soft brush, but if you stain it with oil you would need to wash the spot with soap or take it to a cleaners. The cape does come with a hood, as pictured, in the same fabric and color as the cape which is olive green. I would recommend a size 53" or 55". We'll be restocking in October.

You tie the straps, no buckle needed. There are probably several 'right' ways to wear it, but I've had success centering the cape on my upper back, laying the straps over each shoulder, then feeding them under my arms around my upper back and tie it in a bow on my chest.

Hi Rebekah, The cape does not have a stated range for the chest measurement because it will drape over practically any chest size. As the chest size increases the height of the bottom of the cape from the ground increases, but not substantially. You will be just fine with a 48" chest.
